10th and 11th

Today we celebrated Liliana's 10 month birthday and our 11th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we had to compete with the stake dance for babysitters and we lost, but we still had a great time. It is hard to go wrong in paradise. We spent the day lounging by the pool and just enjoying each others company. Lily went swimming for the first time and despite the look of indifference in this photo she loved it.

Warning: graphic and unflattering pictures ahead. Turn back now while you have a chance.

It was the first time we haven't gone out to dinner for our anniversary. But we did get Indian takeout that was really yummy. And I made cake. I made our wedding cake too. A cake that we didn't even get to eat at our wedding. Well I take it back, we got the first bite and that was it. We ate our top tier on our honeymoon. (like i was gonna wait a year!) We didn't do the whole smash the cake thing, and I have no regrets, however, it's never to late. Naomi was taking pictures for us and I thought the kids would get a kick out of their parents getting silly.

I was wrong. The kids were shocked. It was hilarious. They just stared silently. We were cracking up at us and them. It was all kinds of fun.
But I am curious. Who smashed cake at their wedding and who didn't? Are you happy with the choice you went with?

Happy anniversary baby. You were my world 11 years ago and I love you even more today.

You two crack me up. Naomi did a good job for being in shock the whole time. I remember when Naomi wore that swim suit. Lily really fill it out.

Happy Anniversary! What a great way to celebrate. We didn't do the cake smashing thing either. Looks like it's more fun 11 years later anyway! :)

Love the last shot. KP you look like you lost all your teeth. I really had to take a second look to see that it was just frosting!!!
No smash for us but no regrets either.

I was glad at the moment for no smashing. The cake didn't taste very good. The frosting hard as a rock so it wouldn't melt in the 100 degree heat. I would totally smash if we were to do it all over again.

Happy Anniversary! It looks like you guys had a lot of fun! We didn't smash cake either and we have no regrets...but I wish that I had a bigger piece. The cake was SO good...but not a year later. Then it was gross. Wierd tradition.

I love that. You guys are such a great couple. I know you will be shocked, but Travis DID NOT shove the cake in my face, and I was happy about that. I was giving him the look of death, so he was smart and started our marriage right. I think that is so funny your kids were just staring at you guys. I've done that before where I am laughing really loud and obnoxious, and the kids look almost scared. They never see me like that.
