Cool Mom

I know it's easy for a blog to sound braggy, and that is not my intention here. Actually my intention is for my kids to look back, and despite how they feel about me when they are teens, they will think,"when we were little Mom did a lot of cool stuff with us!" So here is a "cool mom" day my kids (and I) probably wouldn't remember otherwise.



Jonah had a rock collecting project for school and despite our best efforts we just couldn't find any rocks in our whole neighborhood. WEIRD! So Wednesday after school I picked up the kids and went to McDonalds for an ice cream cone. If you know me well you know I DON"T DO McDONALDS so the kids were pumped. Then I let them play on the play structure there. (another rarity) Then we went to the beach to collect rocks. They were in shorts so I agreed to let then go in the water. YEA! Of course they all got soaked, but since I am such a cool mom, I let them just go in their clothes. They had a blast and i had fun watching them play so free and happy.
